Recently my husband saw a need for young families in our community to have a time of meeting together and encouragement. He suggested we host a monthly gathering in our home, and I laughed. All I could see was that we didn’t have enough space, time, energy or money.

When I overcame my fear of not having enough and allowed God to use us, he did great things. People made new friends, old friends reconnected, we encouraged one another in faith and we supported one another through life’s challenges.

I can relate to Gideon’s doubts that God could use him when he asked, ‘How can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family’ (Judges 6:15). God showed Gideon that no matter how little he had, with God’s help, he would have enough.

When God asks us to do something and we feel we don’t have enough, we can remember that God supplies the strength and everything we need to do his work.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help us to step out in faith and to serve you whenever you ask. Amen

Fantastic! I’m so thrilled by God’s goodness that He has brought about such a wonderful way of communicating His love and Gospel to Deaf people. I’m convinced God will use it to His glory and that it will be an effective means of nurturing Deaf Christians for whom church and the Bible is often difficult. You can be assured of my prayers in asking our Father to use these means to reach Deaf people who would never dream of entering a church building. KS
